Happy Hounds is a privately owned ranch in Sisters, Oregon that is committed to obtaining, breeding, and expanding our elite herd of Huacaya Alpacas. 

We specialize in high-quality animals of all colors. You will find that our animals certainly shine in the show ring because they possess impressive fleece qualities, combined with excellent conformation and strong bloodlines that will continue from generation to generation.

Our business also includes producing 100% USA grown and milled yarns and rovings from our own herd. We grow, harvest, grade and create our own yarns and blends for crafters. Happy Hounds also internationally sources 100% baby alpaca yarn which is hand dyed or hand painted in our fiber studio in Sisters, Oregon. 

Why are we called Happy Hounds? Because we also run a not-for-profit animal welfare organization that specializes in special needs and injured animals.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We decided as a business we would concentrate on buying the BEST possible females we could afford and then breed to the BEST possible males we could find to establish a strong foundation herd with an emphasis on our female lines. 

We have successfully gathered foundation females from the best farms across the country to diversify our herd.
